ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast, 8 February 2018, – / African Media Agency (AMA) / – The AFRICA CEO FORUM will hold its 6e edition the 26 and 27 next March in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. On this occasion, more than 1 200 personalities, key decision-makers from industry, finance and politics, from more than 60 countries, will meet in what is now the industry’s biggest event private African.
By choosing the theme “African Champions: the time for transformation”, the AFRICA CEO FORUM 2018 intends to allow its participants to think of action plans to promote the transformation of major companies on the continent.
For nearly two decades, the African private sector has grown strongly, showing in recent years its ability to withstand a period of severe economic slowdown. But the number of leading companies is still small and insufficient in size compared to other major emerging regions of the world.
As the economic recovery continues, the unprecedented technological upheavals around the world may allow African champions to grow even faster, increase their competitiveness and rise to the level of global competition.
While posing a risk in the creation of industrial jobs, digital revolutions make possible unprecedented accelerations in many areas: financial inclusion, logistics, access to health or education, agricultural competitiveness, innovations …
This major development could also allow, if the business climate progresses and funding flows, to emerge a new generation of dynamic companies.
Through twenty sectoral and geographical sessions, case studies presented by major CEOs, testimonials, strategic workshops, thematic working groups (especially on women’s leadership and young leaders), the 2018 edition of the AFRICA CEO FORUM intends to open a new era for the private sector and to make the next ten years of growth those of African entrepreneurial transformation.
