According to the authorities, the now ex-partner “is not afraid to challenge the sovereign power available to each State, under international law, to terminate a contract when the public interest requires it and subject to fair compensation “.
As a reminder, the government announced Thursday, February 22, this, in the name of the sovereignty of the State and the best interests of the nation, its decision to terminate a concession contract signed in 2006, for a period of 30 years. In return, the opposing party had ruled this decision illegal, and threatened any company candidate for a new contract with the state on the assets of the terminal.
