The insurance sector is currently living in a climate of uncertainty regarding the measures to be taken to equip itself with the necessary tools for the fight against money laundering, the financing of terrorism and the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction ( AML / CFT / ADM).
Indeed, insurance companies are in a process of compliance with national and international regulatory requirements in the field, one of the necessary actions to get Tunisia out of the blacklist of third countries at risk BA / FT / ADM of the European Union and the FATF.
In this general context, Tunisian insurance companies are currently evaluating the various alternatives that come their way to compliance. The offer is quite diversified and the deployment trajectories too. We also note the presence of Tunisian publishers and other foreigners and the different possible approaches, particularly individual or sectoral as advocated by the FTUSA.
We have learned that GAT Assurances has taken the lead by acquiring the solution ReisTM Risk & Compliance Suite from the Tunisian publisher Vneuron, and thus becomes the first insurance company in the sector to equip itself in a global approach risk management (ORM), customer knowledge (KYC) and profiling (AML), thus ensuring compliance with Tunisian and international regulations against money laundering and terrorist financing.
Recall that Vneuron is the first Tunisian publisher of comprehensive solutions to fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism and against the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Its ReisTM Risk & Compliance Suite solution was presented during the training day of March 5, 2018 co-organized with the FTUSA for the 22 national insurance companies.
