light, all the usefulness of the accountant, for the companies of the private and public sector, for the State, for the citizens, in the process of creation of value.
3. Presentation / explanation of the theme: “The value-added accountant”
The concept of “value creation” is multidimensional. In practice, we can aim at creating value for the client with the objective of increasing its competitive advantages (the expert’s approach is then based on multi-criteria investment choices, risk analysis, benchmarking, cost analysis, etc.).
It can also aim at creating value for the shareholder but also the partnership value (negotiation with the banks on the basis of a clearly presented performance, setting up franchise networks, distribution channels, business model, etc.) .
The expert can also be part of a proactive approach, in the context of entrepreneurship (“entrepreneurial value” with the editing of financial files and the creation or transformation of companies). Business Transformation is the new era of accounting expertise in the digital environment. In a near-competitive time in a developing economy context, the digital transformation of companies and organizations, both public and private, is mandatory.
The fundamentals of this transformation must be well understood and the contingencies specific to each sector of activity taken into account. This opens up, more than ever, to the accountant, the applied research to create or adapt the tools of creation of the value, even the fundamental research to adapt and to evolve the standardization in place.
4. Presentation of the Congress’s wishes for success
As you can see, the subject is vast and we really invite you to participate in fruitful exchanges on the creation of value around the two axes that are:
1. The Chartered Accountant, a major player in the economy
2. The accountant of tomorrow.
It remains for me to wish you a good success for this second Congress, with your massive presence at this beautiful event.
