In the next three years, “Visit Rwanda”, the tourism branch of the Rwandan government will be one of the official partners of the English club Arsenal.
The partnership was announced on Tuesday 22 May 2018 on the Arsenal website.
The partnership provides a wide range of marketing privileges that will benefit the Rwandan government.
These include the presence of the logo of “Visit Rwanda”, the tourism branch of the Rwandan government, on the left sleeve of all the jerseys of the Gunners, (flagship team, female, youth). Jerseys seen 35 million times a day in the world, according to the site.
“Visit Rwanda” will also benefit from visibility on the illuminated panels of the Emirates Stadium, the Arsenal lair, or on all the sets of interviews.
In contrast, the club plans training camps for its men’s and women’s teams in Rwanda to support the development of football.
According to Vinai Venkatesham, Commercial Director of Arsenal, “It’s an exciting partnership that will allow us to support Rwanda’s ambition to build its tourism industry.”
A big campaign whose amount remains the big unknown. Although, it is probably commensurate with Rwanda’s tourism ambitions.
