The Ordinary General Meetings of the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) and the UEMOA Central Depository / Depository Bank (DC / BR) were held in Dakar on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.
At the end of these Ordinary General Meetings, the first meetings of the new Boards of Directors of the BRVM and DC / BR were held and the members of the Boards unanimously reappointed Pierre Atépa GOUDIABY as Director President of both Councils for a term of three (3) years. He will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the 2018-2020 strategic plans of the two central structures of the Regional Financial Market.
ABOUT PIERRE ATEPA GOUDIABY
Pierre Goudiaby Atépa was born on June 30, 1947 in Ziguinchor (Senegal). After graduating from high school, he joined the prestigious Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York where he earned his engineering degree “Building Sciences” and his Architect degree. President of the Atépa group, he was special advisor to President Abdoulaye WADE of Senegal from 2000 to 2012.
In his forty years of career, he has established himself as one of the greatest contemporary architects, even if he defines himself as “an architect of development”. Atépa is one of the hundred most influential figures on the African continent and is particularly interested in African youth. Pierre Atépa GOUDIABY has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of BRVM and DC / BR since June 25, 2015.
