Groupe BGFIBank strengthens its control and monitoring system with the appointment of:
Mrs. Stella BONGOTHA, Director of Group Compliance,
Mr. Youssouf DIAGANA, Director of Risks and Group Control,
Mr. Arnaud NGUIMBI, Group Internal Audit Director.
In line with the ambitions set out in its “Excellence 2020” business plan with the aim of ensuring performance to ensure the Group’s long-term future, BGFIBank has made the conscious choice to increase the effectiveness of its control and monitoring system. by appointing new heads of the various control bodies at the level of the Group’s parent company, BGFI Holding Corporation.
The current context of supervision on a consolidated basis obliges the BGFIBank Group to reinforce a renewal dynamic begun several years ago. These appointments are part of the Group’s desire to bring together the Risk and Control sectors towards standards combining a strong group vision and regional and local specificities. This is the path chosen by the BGFIBank Group’s Chairman and CEO, Henri-Claude OYIMA, to generate controlled growth.
Stella BONGOTHA joined the Group in April 2012 as Head of Corporate Management in the Directorate of Legal, Tax and Compliance Affairs. She successively held the positions of Head of Governance & Organization and Head of General Administration. It is entrusted with the control and management of the risk of non-compliance within the Group and its main tasks are to ensure compliance with the laws, regulations and ethical principles specific to the Group’s banking activities and investment services; to ensure the strict application of the rules of good conduct and personal ethics of employees; as well as the prevention of reputational risk within BGFI Holding Corporation SA and its subsidiaries.
Youssouf DIAGANA, joined the Group in April 2018. He was Chief Compliance and Operational Risk Officer at Crédit Agricole Senegal after nearly ten (10) years at Mazars Senegal, as Project Manager GRIC (Governance, Risk & Internal). Control). He has, in this capacity, piloted large-scale projects in the field of risk mapping and the improvement of internal control systems for international groups. The digitization of Risk Management and Control processes will be at the heart of its mission.
Arnaud NGUIMBI is a pure product of the Group that he joined in 2011. He has alternately held the positions of Head of Internal Audit Department Group within BHC via BGFIBank GE where he will occupy the same function. It ensures a complete follow-up of the internal control system and ensures its consistency through the evaluation of the different levels of control within the Group. It also ensures that corrective measures decided within the framework of the internal control system are carried out in a timely manner in accordance with the regulations.
All of them have each received a no objection from COBAC in accordance with the COBAC regulations in force and thus join the Management Committee of BGFI Holding Corporation.
