After the stage of Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal, Baloon, the leader in digital insurance brokerage, continues its expansion in Africa with the opening of a subsidiary on September 20, 2018 in Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon.
The Start up had, indeed, obtained its approval last July from the Cameroonian Ministry of Finance. According to officials, Baloon Cameroon will initially offer car insurance offers from two large local market companies, AXA and Saham.
Subsequently, it aims to diversify its products in other areas, with a focus, health insurance, in partnership with other companies operating in Cameroon which is a boon for the brokerage. Since the penetration rate of insurance activity is low (around 2%).
