As part of the development of its strategy of cooperation and exchange of expertise, the Moroccan Authority for the Control of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS), on 30 September 2018 in Dubai, signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation and exchange of expertise with the Insurance Authority of the United Arab Emirates.
This Memorandum of Understanding aims to promote cooperation and the exchange of knowledge, expertise and skills. The Insurance Authority is the Authority in charge of the supervision and control of the insurance sector of the United Arab Emirates.
According to the latest figures of ACAPS, the premiums issued by the insurance sector in Morocco at the end of the first half of 2018 amounted to 22.5 billion dirhams (2.3 billion euros), an increase of 10.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The Insurance Authority expects a market that will reach $ 18.1 billion by 2021.
