Four days after the abduction, the family of the manufacturer promises 1 billion shillings ($ 437,000) to anyone who has new information that would lead to his rescue.
Three telephone lines were opened to gather information on the abduction of the 43-year-old owner of the MeTL group. Tanzanian police arrested 26 people in connection with the abduction. The Tanzanians remain very mobilized for this affair which partially breaks the image of a peaceful and uneventful country. The hashtag #bringbackourmo on Twitter has been retweeted about 1,400 times.
