The World Bank says it will provide $ 100 billion in direct financing, with the rest coming from two agencies in the group for one-third and two-thirds of private financing.
These resources will certainly be devoted to the development of renewable energies, but they will put a particular emphasis on combating the effects of climate change (droughts, floods, etc.) that impact the lives of hundreds of millions of people in the countries of the South. According to the World Bank, there could be as many as 143 million climatic migrants from this part of the world by 2050.
