Chaired by Trade Minister Said Djellab, a national meeting was held on December 17, 2018 in Algiers, focusing on export success for income diversification. In the long term, banks were asked to support economic operators and a simplification of administrative procedures.
It is indeed more commitments for the extension and strengthening of the prerogatives of the entities concerned by the promotion of foreign trade. Participants also noted the need to establish an Export Skills Upgrade Fund to support training programs that focus on skills needed for export.
They stressed, moreover, the importance of targeting high-growth foreign markets and the realization of preferential agreements with regional groupings to increase the ease of access to Algerian operators, and the promotion of the establishment of free zones. with increased storage and customs clearance at ports and airports for better flow of exports.
The meeting was animated by five panels dealing respectively with the dynamics of export promotion, support for Algerian companies abroad, logistics, the export of agricultural and food products and the export of services and the challenges of beginner companies.
