The 14th edition of the International Agricultural Show in Morocco (SIAM) will be held from 16 to 21 April 2019 in Meknes under the theme “agriculture, lever of employment and future of the rural world”.
“This annual event, which is now the main event on the agenda of national and international stakeholders, confirms its vocation to be the most important event on the African continent in terms of agriculture while responding, thanks to the scientific content of the quality of the different meetings organized there, the issues of the moment, “said Jawad Chami, the Commissioner General of the event.
The SIAM 2019, with Switzerland in the spotlight, is announced to bring together one million visitors with 1,500 exhibitors from 72 countries, organize 35 conferences and provide more than 300 high-level networking, among others.
The exhibition will be “the opportunity to present the Swiss know-how in the traditional sectors of agriculture, milk, chocolate and livestock but also to unveil a Swiss technology, digitalization and value-added processed products, “said Massimo Baggi, the Swiss ambassador to Morocco.
Note that agriculture is a sector that generates about 14% of Moroccan GDP, but with significant variations depending on the year and depending on the weather conditions.
