The company Bernabé Côte d’Ivoire, a subsidiary of the multinational of the same name, specializing in the marketing of hardware products, will pay to its shareholders on July 19, 2019, for the 2018 financial year, an overall net dividend of € 298.080 million. FCFA (447.120 euros), announced the leaders of this company based in Abidjan.
In relation to the 6,624,000 shares that make up the capital of this company, this corresponds to a net dividend per share of 45 FCFA against 63 FCFA in 2017.
At the end of the 2018 financial year, Bernabé Côte d’Ivoire had realized an after-tax profit of 1.650 billion FCFA against 2.101 billion FCFA in 2017, a decrease of 21.49%. The managers of this company justified this decrease by the increase in operating expenses and the impact of the negative financial result, mainly generated by the large investments made. They also argued that the net result took into account the recognition of the investment tax credit for the work of the extension of the KM4 store in the amount of 269,446 million FCFA and the tax credit for employment of 27 million FCFA.
The turnover had, meanwhile, recorded an increase of nearly 3 billion FCFA to 44.349 billion FCFA against 41.351 billion FCFA a year ago.
Concerning the operating expenses of the company, they saw their general level increase of 627 million FCFA, going from 6,143 billion FCFA in 2017 to 6,770 billion FCFA in 2018.
Value added declined by 4.62% to 6.977 billion FCFA while it stood at 7.315 billion FCFA at the end of the 2017 fiscal year.
The gross operating surplus followed the same downward trend of 3.079 billion FCFA against 3.669 billion FCFA in 2017.
