The net result of Coris Bank International increased by 7.31% at the end of the third quarter of 2019 compared to the same period of the year 2018, announced the leaders of this banking institution based in Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso.
This net result increased from CFAF 19.164 billion at September 30, 2018 to CFAF 20.564 billion at September 30, 2019, an increase of CFAF 1.4 billion.
Regarding net banking income (GNP), a slight increase of 0.97% is noted with an increase from 41.327 billion FCFA in the third quarter of 2018 to 41.729 billion FCFA a year later. It seems that the subsidiarization of branches in Benin and Senegal in the first quarter of 2019 has not yet had an impact on GNP.
During the period under review, the general operating expenses of the bank fell by 1.14% to 14.278 billion FCFA against 14.443 billion FCFA on 30 September 2018.
Gross operating income rose by 2.10% to 27.451 billion FCFA against 26.885 billion FCFA in the third quarter of 2018.
Coris Bank improved its net cost of risk by 6.99% to 4.956 billion FCFA against 5.328 billion FCFA as of September 30, 2018.
Pre-tax income rose by 6.94% to CFAF 23.129 billion from CFAF 21.629 billion as at September 30, 2018.
