The board of directors of Banque Atlantique Senegal, which met on March 16, 2021, approved the appointment of Alexandra Awadi and Abdelmoumen Najoua to the respective positions of general manager and deputy general manager of the institution.
The new boss of the bank has 14 years of experience acquired within the Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) group of Morocco, in various positions of responsibility. Holder of a Masters in Purchasing Management and two Masters in Economic and Social Administration, Business Management and Trade & International Affairs options, Ms. Awadi joined Banque Atlantique Senegal in 2006 as an SME-SMI client account manager. She successively held the positions of Business and Institutional Affairs Manager, Head of the Large Business and Structured Finance department, then Business Client Director, before being appointed CEO in charge of the development of the bank.
For his part, Abdelmoumen Najoua has solid experience within the BCP group, which he joined in 1999. He held several positions of responsibility, including those of director of the Organization and operational marketing director of the retail bank. , before joining Banque Atlantique Côte d’Ivoire in 2014 as director of individual customers and the network. He was then appointed Group Retail Director within the holding company Atlantic Business International (BCP group), then CEO of Banque Atlantique Côte d’Ivoire.
Present in 12 African countries, the BCP group presented consolidated net banking income improved by 8.3% to 19.3 billion dirhams (2.1 billion dollars) over the period from April to December 2020.
