The net banking income (NBI) of Attijari Bank of Tunisia recorded a slight increase of 3.31% at the end of the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period of the year 2020, announced the leaders of this banking establishment based. in Tunis.
This GNP stood at 129.915 million dinars against 125.753 million dinars as of March 31, 2020, an increase of 4.162 million dinars.
As far as they are concerned, banking operating income fell by 5.78% with a level which fell from 215.269 million dinars in the first quarter of 2020 to 202.836 million dinars during the period under review. Interest amounted to 137.357 million dinars against 154.783 million dinars in 2020 (-11.26%). As for product commissions, they increased by 7.34% to 30.510 million dinars against 28.424 million dinars as of March 31, 2020.
For their part, the bank’s gains on securities portfolio, commercial and financial operations fell by 3.57% to 16.676 million dinars against 17.293 million dinars a year earlier.
As for the income from the investment portfolio, they increased sharply by 23.86%, from 14.769 million dinars in 2020 to 18.293 million dinars a year later.
As of March 31, 2021, Attijari Bank reduced its banking operating expenses by 18.54%, from 89.516 million dinars to 72.921 million dinars.
Regarding personnel costs, they increased by 4.13% to 39.451 million dinars. On the other hand, the general operating expenses of the bank saw their level fall by 3.50% to 18.071 million dinars.
The outstanding loans to Attijari Bank customers increased by 2.17% with an achievement of 5.935 billion dinars against 5.808 billion dinars a year earlier. At the same time, the bank’s outstanding deposits increased by 13.90% to 8.375 billion dinars against 7.353 billion dinars as of March 31, 2020.
During the period under review, the bank’s equity increased sharply by 31.92%, from 546.115 million dinars to 720.444 million dinars.
