Bolloré Transports & Logistics Côte d’Ivoire, a subsidiary of the French multinational of the same name, posted an after-tax profit of CFAF 13.454 billion at the end of the 2020 financial year.
Compared to December 31, 2019, when it stood at 9.382 billion FCFA, this profit has increased by 43.40%. The company’s turnover contracted from 3.942 billion, 88.182 billion FCFA in 2019 to 84.240 billion FCFA a year later. This decline is due to both works and services sold and ancillary products. The former saw their level go from 80.373 billion FCFA in 2019 to 76.526 billion in 2020. As for ancillary products, they went from 7.809 billion FCFA in 2019 to 7.714 billion FCFA a year later.
Concerning the costs of the company, the item Other purchases increased by 139 million, standing at 6.800 billion FCFA against 6.661 billion FCFA in 2019. For their part, external services were better controlled, recording a decrease of 1.524 billion to 32.261 billion FCFA against 33.785 billion FCFA in 2019.
Bolloré Côte d’Ivoire’s added value fell by 976 million, with an achievement of CFAF 37.668 billion against CFAF 38.644 billion as of December 31, 2019. During the period under review, Bolloré Côte d’Ivoire reduced by 597 million its personnel costs which amount to 28.001 billion FCFA against 28.598 billion FCFA in 2019.
The gross operating surplus fell by 3.78% to 9.666 billion FCFA against 10.046 billion FCFA a year earlier. Operating income posted 4.569 billion FCFA against 4.093 billion FCFA in 2019, an increase of 11.62%.
