The after-tax profit of the company Bernabé Côte d’Ivoire, a subsidiary of the multinational of the same name and specializing in the marketing of hardware products, recorded an increase of 57.91% at the end of the 2020 financial year compared to that of 2019.
This profit stood at 668 million FCFA against 423 million FCFA in 2019, an increase of 245 million FCFA in absolute value. The turnover also recorded a decrease from 1.814 billion FCFA to 39.472 billion FCFA against 41.285 billion FCFA in 2019.
In terms of expenses, the item Purchases of goods fell by 3.759 billion FCFA with an achievement of 27.714 billion FCFA against 31.473 billion FCFA at the end of the 2019 financial year. On the other hand, other external expenses fell. increased by 969 million, from 6.238 billion FCFA as of December 31, 2019 to 7.208 billion FCFA a year later. As for added value, it increased by 11.56%, reaching 6.590 billion FCFA against 5.907 billion FCFA in 2019.
As far as they are concerned, personnel costs fell by 90 million, going from 3.734 billion FCFA at December 31, 2019 to 3.644 billion FCFA at the end of the year under review. The gross operating surplus increased by 35.57%, standing at 2.946 billion FCFA against 2.173 billion FCFA in 2019. The operating result follows the same upward trend with a level which stands at 1.604 billion FCFA against 944 million FCFA 2019 (+ 69.91%).
