Following on from the previous stages of the Regional Investment, the Tangier meeting shed light on the assets and investment opportunities offered by the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region. This meeting recorded the online participation of more than 600 people.
Like the first five stopovers, the Tangier meeting was structured around 3 panels, dedicated respectively to the themes: “The region’s strengths and opportunities”,
“Project banking and investment recovery”, and “Funding and support mechanisms”. The various interventions made it possible to highlight the strengths of the region in terms of industrial platforms and logistics infrastructure offered to operators, as well as the potential for sectoral investment, particularly in the automotive, electronics, textiles and agri-food sectors. and tourism.
The discussions highlighted the importance of innovation in industrial acceleration, as well as the role of transmission belt that the bank can play between academia, industry and its various partners in order to give impetus to investment in the regions.
This meeting was attended by representatives of the Regional Council of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, the CCIS, the CGEM, the Automobile Department of the Ministry of Industry, AMDIE, AMEE, ‘ADA, CCG and AMICA. It was also marked by the intervention of two business leaders, who testified to the support provided by the Bank in the realization of their industrial investment projects.
On the sidelines of this 6th stage, the Banque Populaire de Tanger-Tétouan signed two partnership agreements aimed at promoting investment, with the CGEM Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima on the one hand and the CCIS Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima on the other hand.
“These agreements come to concretize a work already started for years in close collaboration with the CGEM and the CCIS in favor of entrepreneurship in the region”, affirmed on this occasion Mr. Samir Klaoua, Chairman of the Management Board of BP Tanger- Tetouan. For their part, MM. Omar MORO and Adil Rais, respectively Presidents of the CCIS and the CGEM Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, underlined the importance of these conventions to support the MSMEs in the relaunch of their activities.
The work of this day continued in the afternoon, with workshops during which several business leaders benefited from advice and guidance from experts from the Bank, its subsidiaries and its main partners. for the realization of their investment projects.
