Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) has announced the appointment of Kirstine Damkjaer, former CEO of Danish export credit agency EKF, to its board of directors as an independent non-executive director.
Formerly of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Bank where she was notably Global Head of Industry Equity, Manager in the Global Infrastructure and Natural Resources Department, Director of the Asset Management Company of IFC and Senior Portfolio Manager at the World Bank Treasury, Pension Scheme and Endowment Fund, the qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with a Masters Degree from Aarhus University (Denmark) will sit on the committee audit and compliance committee of the Company’s board of directors and the risk and investment committee of the board of directors.
