The shareholders of the African Rubber Plantation Company (SAPH) will receive on August 24, 2021, for fiscal year 2020, an overall net dividend of FCFA 3.381 billion (€ 5.071 million), announced the leaders of this company based in Abidjan. Compared to the 25,558,005 shares that make up the company’s capital, the net dividend per share amounts to 132.3 FCFA. The last dividend paid by SAPH dates back to 2017 with an amount of 78 FCFA.
The dividend to be paid on August 24 represents 23.16% of the nominal value of the share, which is 571 FCFA. The IFRS income statement established on December 31, 2020 by the directors of the company highlighted an after-tax profit of CFAF 8.665 billion against CFAF 3.404 billion in 2019, i.e. a strong increase of 155%. For its part, the company’s turnover increased by 10.47%, from 144 billion FCFA in 2019 to 159 billion FCFA in 2020. During the period under review, purchases consumed increased by 11, 22% to 101 billion FCFA against 91 billion FCFA.
The gross margin of the company went from 53.013 billion FCFA on December 31, 2019 to 58 billion FCFA a year later. For its part, current operating income increased by 75.07% to 11.975 billion FCFA against 6.840 billion FCFA a year earlier. The same trend is noted with regard to operating income, which rose from 6.617 billion in 2019 to 11.920 billion in 2020 (+ 80.14%).
