According to its financial results for the third quarter of 2021, Amen Bank recorded a net banking income (NBI) up 19% to stand at 340.3 million dinars (120 million USD) at the end of September 2021, against 286.1 million (102 million USD) in the same period of the previous year.
Customer loans, net of provisions and reserved agios, increased from 5,859 million dinars (2 billion USD) at the end of September 2020 to 6,068.2 million dinars (2.1 billion USD) at the end of September 2021, an increase of 3.6%.
For its part, customer deposits and assets stood at the end of September 2021 at 6154 million dinars (2.18 billion USD), i.e. an annual increase of 6.8%.
As regards operating income, they recorded an increase of 2.5% compared to the same period in 2020. For their part, banking operating expenses recorded a decrease of 38.3 million dinars ( 13.6 million USD), going from 346.8 million dinars (123 million USD) as of September 30, 2020 to 308.5 million dinars (119.5 million USD) for the same period of 2021.
The cost / income ratio reached 40.4% as of September 30, 2021 against 43.7% for the same period of 2020, an improvement of 3.3 percentage points.
