The result of ordinary activities of the company TotalEnergies Marketing Senegal, a subsidiary of the multinational of the same name, experienced a contraction of 618 million FCFA (927,000 euros) at the end of the third quarter of 2021 compared to the same period of 2020.
This result amounted to 6.330 billion FCFA against 6.948 billion FCFA as of September 30, 2020, i.e. a drop of 8.9%.
As for the turnover excluding taxes, it recorded a slight decrease of 1.4%, standing at 286 billion FCFA against 290 billion FCFA in the third quarter of 2020. On another note, sales in the Aviation segment recorded a decrease of 21% with an achievement that fell from 55,200 tonnes on September 30, 2020 to 43,600 tonnes a year later. For their part, sales to competitors, exports and the international navy fell by 31.5%, from 218,500 tonnes on September 30, 2020 to 149,600 tonnes during the period under review.
Looking ahead, company executives maintain that the rapid resumption of fuel distribution to the majority of stations impacted by the events, combined with the dynamism and know-how of their teams, should enable TotalEnergies Marketing Senegal to deliver a satisfactory result at the end of 2021.
