Between 8 March and 25 July 2022, the Bolloré Transport & Logistics subsidiaries in Morocco, Mauritania and Mali pooled their expertise to organise a convoy of 30 trucks from Casablanca in Morocco to Bamako in Mali. This intra-African road transport operation, organised on behalf of an industrial group in the beverage industry, was completed in under two weeks over a distance of nearly 3,800 kilometres.
The trucks arrived by ship at the Port of Casablanca before being transported to the customer’s site in Sénou in the suburbs of Bamako, having transited through Mauritania. The Bolloré Transport & Logistics teams were responsible for freight clearance and inland transportation between the three countries crossed, and managed border crossing formalities while keeping the convoy secure throughout the journey.
“The operation was completed successfully. We would like to thank Bolloré Transport & Logistics most sincerely for the outstanding collaborative effort which enabled this mission to be carried out in the best conditions,” said Idrissa Doumbia, Deputy Director of Supply & Transit at the brewery.
As a major player in transport and logistics, Bolloré Transport & Logistics’ in-depth knowledge of the African continent enables it to tackle logistical challenges and undertake end-to-end transport of the goods entrusted to it, from the point of collection to the most isolated areas via secure corridors. “Our logistics expertise and our environmental management have enabled us to put all the necessary logistics in place to make this operation a resounding success. We are delighted to have been selected to take part in this project, and with the confidence placed in us. Our teams put in a superb preparation and coordination effort to manage the entire convoy and satisfy our customer,” said Mohamed Diop, Regional Director Atlantic Africa at Bolloré Transport & Logistics.
