As part of its digital transformation program, BMCE Bank of Africa is continuing
innovation momentum to adapt to the context of a digitized society and a
hyper connected generation facing internal and external changes
relating to the digital revolution of the bank. So, to make the employee a lever
major change, BMCE Bank of Africa launches a Think Tank Digital.
This innovative approach in the Moroccan banking sector was conceived as a major project of the bank’s digital transformation program aimed at proposing
new initiatives, new modes of operation, new tools, products
and services … It also aims to introduce mechanisms to educate
difficulties in everyday life for which a digital approach can be disruptive and
efficient; thus becoming a vector of cultural and operational transformation of the
Bank; all with the aim of offering the customer a better banking experience.
The creation of this digital think tank began with a call for applications on the
thematic “How do you imagine the bank in 10 years?” which was launched in
December 2017 to all employees at head office and network level
to bring forward the best initiatives / ideas and to provide opportunities for
high potential employees (initiative, motivation, innovation, creativity, strength
proposals …) to actively participate in the transformation of the bank.
Of the 150 applications received, 24 candidates were selected because of the relevance
their ideas, creativity and arguments for the second and final stage of selection.
After a rating based on a passage before a Selection Jury made up of the Directors of the Program, 13 Collaborators were selected to form this digital think tank.
In addition to ongoing remote collaboration, the Think Tank Digital meets
periodically to challenge, issue advisory opinions, and co-build
innovations.
