A certain excitement gripped the passengers on flight AF 865 from N’Djaména, Chad, after arriving at Roissy airport on the afternoon of June 3.
As soon as the aircraft landed, the French government’s interministerial crisis unit chaired by the Minister of the Interior, Gérard Darmanin, in the absence of Prime Minister Jean Castex, traveling in Tunisia, launched an investigation at the following a suspicion of the presence of a bomb on board the plane. The investigations, once carried out, made it possible to remove all doubts.
This alert, however, comes at a time when the situation in Chad is proving particularly volatile after the disappearance of President Idriss Deby Itno and the putsch carried out by his son, Mahamat Idriss Mahamat. Aviation security in N’Djaména is the responsibility of Garance Security. This private company registered in France belongs to Alexandre Hollander, boss of the Amarante group.
