Ashinaga Senegal, West Africa office of the Japanese non-profit organization Ashinaga, and the Inter-African Institute for Training in Insurance and Business Management (IFAGE) proceeded, Friday, June 18, 2021, in the premises of IFAGE in Dakar at the signing of a partnership for the granting of scholarships in order to strengthen their collaboration. IFAGE, the first private higher education institute specializing in insurance in the CIMA zone (Inter-African Conference on Insurance Markets) has set itself the task of contributing to the development of the financial sector of CIMA member countries. The institute offers numerous bachelor’s or master’s degree courses such as actuarial insurance, risk management and accounting, audit and management control.
Ashinaga Senegal provides educational, financial and emotional support to pupils and students who have lost one or both parents. Among its higher education access programs, the office runs a leadership program for international studies, the Ashinaga Initiative for Africa, and an educational and professional support program for studies abroad. Senegal, “Taxawu Jàng”. Beyond the scholarship they offer, these allow students to become agents of change in their communities.
With the common goal of providing educational support to young graduates and students of higher education, Ashinaga and IFAGE have decided to forge a partnership to join forces in order to pursue and achieve their goals. This partnership concerns both the co-financing of the training of orphaned Ashinaga scholarship students enrolled at IFAGE but also the sharing of entrepreneurial values, capacity building through community life, educational and humanitarian activities of the two structures.
