The Ivorian Société Sucrivoire SA, specializing in the manufacture of sugar, will pay its shareholders on August 20, 2021, for the 2020 financial year, a total net dividend of CFAF 793.800 million (€ 1.190 million), announced the managers of this company based in Borotou, a locality located in the north-west of Côte d’Ivoire.
Based on the 19,600,000 shares that make up the company’s capital, the net dividend per share amounts to 40.5 FCFA. The last net dividend per share paid by Sucrivoire relates to the 2017 financial year with an amount of 72 FCFA. Due to cumulative losses in 2018 and 2019, this company had not made any dividend payments at the end of these years.
The dividend to be paid on August 20 represents 3.24% of the nominal value of the share, which is 1,250 FCFA.
Sucrivoire’s 2020 financial year was far better than the previous two, with characteristic managerial balances on the rise. This company thus achieved an after-tax profit of FCFA 1.788 billion against a deficit of FCFA 5.339 billion in 2019.
Its turnover had also increased by 11.8% to 63.333 billion FCFA against 56.656 billion FCFA as of December 31, 2019.
Likewise, the added value improved by 22%, from 21.836 billion FCFA in 2019 to 26.617 billion FCFA a year later.
For its part, the gross operating surplus jumped 57.2% to 13.290 billion FCFA against 8.451 billion FCFA in 2019.
The same situation characterized the operating result which stood at 4.403 billion FCFA against a deficit of 1.134 billion FCFA in 2019.
