The Société de Limonaderie et brasseries d’Afrique (SOLIBRA) posted an after-tax profit of 15.607 billion FCFA (23.411 million euros) at the end of the first half of 2021, announced the directors of this Abidjan-based company.
Compared to the same period of 2020, when it stood at 7.771 billion FCFA, this profit increased 100.8%.
The company’s net turnover increased by 35.721 billion FCFA, from 87.415 billion FCFA as of June 30, 2020 to 123.136 billion FCFA as of June 30, 2021 (+ 40.9%). “The company confirms its leadership in the Ivorian drinks market and more particularly in the beer market, its core business with an increase in its volume of + 29%”, affirm the directors of Solibra.
The gross operating surplus was boosted by 50.5% to 36.591 billion FCFA against 24.313 billion FCFA a year earlier.
As for the operating result, it rose sharply by 97.8% to 23.381 billion FCFA against 11.818 billion FCFA in the first half of 2020.
The result of ordinary activities of Solibra jumped 129.5%, from 9.298 billion FCFA as of June 30, 2020 to 21.338 billion FCFA a year later.
In outlook, the leaders of Solibra advance in particular that “ on the basis of the information available to date on the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic and its possible consequences, mainly in terms of supply constraints to its suppliers, the company anticipates a sustained level of activity during the second half of the year. >>
