Essec continues to develop its training offer on the African continent. In November, the school will launch a new executive certificate for executive managers and leaders: Generation Africa.
The first class business school, with the support of its campuses in Rabat and Singapore, continues its development in Africa with the launch of Generation Africa, an executive certificate for international decision-makers, focusing on financing and business development on the continent.
The African singularity of Essec
The international business school continues to display its African singularity, being one of the most involved institutions on the continent. Among others it is the only one to have a campus in Africa, with the one in Rabat.
Its European roots and its development for nearly 10 years in Asia through the Singapore campus constitute a major international dimension.
A program dedicated to African and international decision makers
With Generation Africa, Essec is banking on the growing interest of the private sector in Africa and its various sub-regions, with a strong international approach. This is the reason that motivated the three recognized professionals who are in charge of it: Benoît Chervalier, investment banker and chairman of one2five advisory, executive representative of Generation Africa and professor at Essec, Judith Michelle Williams, co-founder of Sugarwork and Global head of Diversity and Inclusion at SAP and member of Essec’s International Board, and Tuck Siong Chung, associate professor of marketing and academic director of the MSc in Marketing Management and Digital at Essec’s campus in Singapore.
Top speakers are scheduled, including leaders of international organizations, major private equity funds, headhunters and inspirational personalities.
Balance between academic excellence and practical knowledge
The strength of the program lies in the balance between academic excellence and practical knowledge of ESSEC on the continent. In addition to making its large alumni network (62,000 people) available to participants, the school ensures the quality and diversity of Generation Africa through accelerated training. The 12-day program, taught in English, will take place between the end of November 2022 and February 2023 and will include face-to-face sessions in Paris and Abidjan as well as a hybrid part.
Taking advantage of Africa’s business opportunities
The program will enable participants to develop their network and take advantage of new business opportunities in Africa. The continent has the largest potential free trade area with the recent creation of the FTAA, and of the 15 fastest growing economies in the world through 2027, projections indicate that half will be African.
