Kigali: AFRICA CEO FORUM Annual Summit
The next annual AFRICA CEO FORUM summit, to be held in Kigali, Rwanda, on May 16 and 17, 2024, seems to be of great importance given the current situation in Africa. The economic crisis and growing political instability are major challenges for the continent. This period of uncertainty jeopardizes African economies, hampers governments’ ability to invest in structuring projects, and may affect the goal of pan-African unity.
The summit comes five years after the launch of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in Kigali, making it a crucial moment for private sector players. It provides a platform for businesses to come together, share solutions and demonstrate their unity to preserve the progress made in recent years. It is also about maintaining the momentum that has characterized the Forum since its inception 11 years ago.
This summit could play an essential role in promoting economic and political cooperation in Africa, helping to meet current challenges and stimulate the continent’s growth and development.
