The Repats Forum concept

The Repats Forum is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorians Living Abroad, in partnership with the High Commission for African Diasporas in France, the Centre for the Promotion of Investments in Côte d’Ivoire (CEPICI) and the One-Stop Shop for SME Development (GUDE-PME), and promoted by PKD Conseil.

Objectives of the Repats Forum

Encourage investment in Africa.

The Forum’s mission is to encourage the African diaspora, Afro-descendants and friends of Africa to return to the “Mother Country” (Repats).

To mobilize the capital and know-how of the Repats and Diasporas for the development of Africa.

The Forum’s mission is also to encourage the African diaspora to return and contribute their know-how and expertise, and to take their place in Africa’s development within the economic ecosystem by recruiting local companies.

Financing SMEs to develop African economies

Last but not least, it’s a Forum that connects African SMEs with all the different players involved, giving them access to traditional and alternative financing.

The program

Opening ceremony
The opening ceremony, chaired by Madame Raymonde Goudou Coffie, Minister and
Governor of the Lake District aims to promote direct investment by the African diaspora
and friends of Africa in Côte d’Ivoire.

Plenary Conferences
Panels of experts presenting the levers for transforming African economies
particularly in Côte d’Ivoire:
Foreign direct investment: what are the investment opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire?
Diaspora and Integration: how to secure diaspora investment and ensure their successful return
in Africa. Investment support tools adapted to the diaspora.
Real estate conference: how to access real estate ownership through the diaspora.

B2B meetings
Tailor-made networking to bring together foreign investors, project promoters
technical and financial partners.
PKD WORLD teams analyze investment projects prior to the Repats Forum and
accompany the exchanges until the partnerships are finalized.

Company visits
Visits to companies and agro-pastoralists in the Lake District representative of Côte d’Ivoire’s
Côte d’Ivoire’s economic competitiveness.

Diner-Gala and PKD Awards Ceremony
An exceptional event featuring the presence of brand-name personalities, hosted by an Ivorian artist, illuminated by a haute couture fashion show, and culminating in the PKD Awards ceremony to reward members of the African diaspora, the Repats, who have made a positive impact in their sector of activity in Africa, and in particular the Ivory Coast.
