Abidjan: 1st Edition of the International Salon of Extractive and Energy Resources (SIREXE)
In the context of recent significant discoveries of oil and gas deposits, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire has decided to establish a promotional platform called the “International Salon of Extractive and Energy Resources (SIREXE).“
The SIREXE will be held every two years and will last for five (5) consecutive days, with the primary objectives of further stimulating national and international private investments in the sector and ensuring a better distribution of the generated wealth.
The first edition of the SIREXE is scheduled to take place from November 27th to December 2nd, 2024, at the Abidjan Exhibition Park, under the theme: “Sustainable Development of Extractive and Energy Industries: What Policies and Strategies?“
It will revolve around the presentation of major national and sub-regional priority projects in the Mining, Oil, and Energy sectors, the strengthening of sub-regional and international partnerships to mobilize financing, the public discovery of the Ivorian extractive and energy sector, as well as the promotion of local content and professions across the entire value chain among entrepreneurs and young people.
