The Africa Impact Investing Group is a vibrant and active community uniting key stakeholders, including policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs, and civil society organizations. Its mission is to channel capital toward initiatives that generate both financial returns and measurable social or environmental impact. The group collaborates with National Advisory Boards (NABs) for impact investing in various African countries, such as Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia, as well as task forces in Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius, and Senegal.
History and Vision
Founded in 2022 during the GSG Impact Leadership Meeting in Turin, Italy, the AIIG aims to strengthen the impact investment ecosystem across Africa. Through regional collaboration, it develops innovative financing platforms for African SMEs and promotes sustainable solutions to address the continent’s socio-economic challenges.

- Catalytic Capital Africa (2CAfrica): A campaign targeting $3 billion in capital mobilization by 2025 to support SMEs.
- Ci GABA Fund: A Ghana-based fund supporting high-impact SMEs in West Africa.

- Africa Impact Summit: An annual forum bringing together regional and global stakeholders to advance impact investing on the continent.
