Tanzania and Rwanda agreed, on Sunday 14 January 2017, to build a railway line of 400 kilometers from Kigali to the port of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania). The announcement was made by Tanzanian President John Magufuli at a press conference following his talks with Rwandan President Paul Kagame in the Tanzanian capital.
