The Mauritanian Order of Architects is a professional organization that brings together architects practicing in Mauritania. Established under Law 2009-028 of April 13, 2009, the OMA’s primary mission is to advise public authorities on all matters related to architecture and urban planning.
The Order plays a key role in regulating the profession, ensuring the quality of architectural practices and the evolution of standards in construction and urban development. It is also committed to promoting ongoing education for architects and supporting initiatives that foster the growth of sustainable architecture and urban management in Mauritania.
As a regulatory body, the OMA works to uphold professional integrity, ethics, and deontological standards within the architectural profession, while contributing to the discussion on the sustainable and harmonious development of urban spaces in the country.
