The 27th edition of the Africa Energy Forum (aef) will take place from June 17 to 20, 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa. Recognized as one of the most significant global events in the energy sector, this forum provides a platform to discuss sustainable solutions to Africa’s energy challenges, bringing together leaders, investors, government officials, and industry experts.
The 2025 edition will continue its focus on fostering constructive discussions around the evolution of energy systems in Africa and investment opportunities in renewable energy and energy transition. The program will feature strategic sessions and networking spaces for participants to form lasting partnerships and explore innovative solutions tailored to the continent’s needs.
A Forum with Growing Impact
The 2024 edition, held in Barcelona, gathered over 2,100 participants, including 21 ministers and many industry experts. The forum tackled key topics under the theme “Energy Systems of the Future – Balancing Africa’s Needs with Global Goals”. It provided a platform for insightful exchanges, emphasizing the shared commitment to addressing Africa’s energy challenges. Notable highlights from 2024 included support for Globeleq’s geothermal project in Menengai (Kenya) and the strategic partnership announced between RelyEZ and Veers Group to address South Africa’s energy challenges.
The 2024 edition also featured major partnerships with Sun Africa, AKSA, IFC & MIGA, Globeleq, and Nedbank as key forum supporters.
