Dakar: SISDAK/OIC Health Expo 2025
The 10th edition of the Dakar International Expo on Health and Medical Equipment (SISDAK) will take place from April 15 to 19, 2025, at CICES, in collaboration with the Senegalese Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. This edition will be held alongside the 5th edition of the OIC Member States Health Expo (OIC HEALTH EXPO), organized by the Islamic Center for the Development of Trade (ICDT), a subsidiary organ of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) based in Casablanca, Morocco.
Objectives of SISDAK/OIC HEALTH EXPO
The event aims to provide a platform for exhibitions and scientific exchanges for health professionals from Senegal, OIC member states, and beyond. It offers:
- A space for health professionals to promote their products and services.
- An opportunity for institutions and NGOs to inform and communicate about their activities.
- A training and knowledge-sharing platform for doctors, students, and experts on medical and technological advancements.
- A venue for public health programs to conduct awareness campaigns.
- A chance for the general public to access health information and interact with professionals.
Content of SISDAK/OIC HEALTH EXPO
The event is structured around several key areas:
- Exhibitions of medical equipment, telemedicine, pharmaceutical products, and related innovations.

The exhibition will be open from 9 AM to 7 PM and will bring together a wide range of participants, including:

Organizer
The Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), established in Casablanca in 1984, is the subsidiary organ of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) responsible for promoting trade and investment among OIC member states.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is the second-largest international organization after the United Nations, with 57 member states spread across four continents. It was founded following a decision made at the historic summit held in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, on 12 Rajab 1389 Hijri (September 25, 1969), in response to the arson attack on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied part of Jerusalem.
In the early 1970s, one of Senegal’s flagship achievements was the construction of the Centre International d’Échanges de Dakar (CIED), inaugurated during the first edition of the Foire Internationale de Dakar (FIDAK) (from November 28 to December 15, 1974) by the Poet-President Léopold Sédar Senghor. In his inaugural speech, he stated: “The new, fairer, and more equitable international economic order that we seek to promote can only emerge from a patient and methodical organization of meetings and exchanges.”
The Centre International d’Échanges de Dakar (CIED), whose architecture is inspired by “asymmetrical parallelism,” consists of a Congress Palace—the first of its kind in West Africa—an Exhibition Park, an Economic Information Center, and a National Center for Foreign Trade, which housed the Senegalese Center for Foreign Trade
