Marrakech: 7th Edition of the Marrakech Air Show

The Marrakech Air Show, one of Africa’s most prestigious aviation events, is back! From October 30 to November 2, 2024, the Marrakech military airbase will host the 7th edition of this international exhibition dedicated to aeronautics and space, organized under the auspices of the Kingdom of Morocco, following the directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Since its launch in 2008, the Marrakech Air Show has continued to grow, showcasing Morocco’s positioning as a global aerospace hub. The country’s strategic location, combined with world-class infrastructure and investments in technology, makes it a key regional center for the aerospace and defense industries.

The event is co-organized by several key institutions:

• Ministry of Industry and Trade
• National Defense Administration
• MEDZ, a subsidiary of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG)
• Royal Gendarmerie
• Royal Air Force
• Royal Armed Forces

These organizations work together to ensure the success of this 7th edition, offering a prime platform for international exchanges and collaborations in the aerospace sector.

Over the past 20 years, Morocco’s aerospace industry has developed significantly, providing incredible opportunities for global players in the sector. Today, more than 147 companies operate in Morocco, creating over 20,000 jobs and achieving an integration rate of 40%, one of the highest in the world.

This year’s show will feature unprecedented participation, with 12,500 m² of exhibition space, 300 exhibitors, more than 75 official delegations, spectacular aerial demonstrations, a dynamic exhibition, and a rich program of high-level conferences addressing emerging trends as well as current and future challenges in the sector.

This year’s edition will particularly focus on innovation and new technologies, with a dedicated area for start-ups and research projects. The challenges of energy transition and sustainable mobility will also be central to the discussions.
