The Nouakchott Expo BTP returns for its second edition on February 11–12, 2025, in Nouakchott, Mauritania. This major event, focused on technological innovation and financing for sustainable housing, addresses the current challenges of climate change and the energy transition in the construction and public works sectors.
Organized by Financial Afrik in partnership with the Mauritanian Order of Architects and the Mauritanian Order of Civil Engineering Engineers, this expo serves as a strategic platform for public and private sector stakeholders, experts, local and international decision-makers, and investors to discuss innovative solutions and financing models for a sustainable and resilient construction sector. With over 1,000 participants expected, this edition will showcase cutting-edge technologies and green financing solutions tailored to today’s pressing challenges.
The event program will focus on two key areas:
- An exhibition space spanning 1,200 m², where companies, startups, and institutions will present their products, services, and solutions in the construction and public works (BTP) sector, emphasizing technological innovations and sustainable practices.
- An international conference bringing together experts and thought leaders from the sector to discuss topics related to sustainable housing, innovative construction technologies, and green financing mechanisms.

The Mauritanian Order of Civil Engineers (OMIGEC) is a professional organization dedicated to civil engineers in Mauritania. Its primary goal is to promote the civil engineering profession by ensuring training, regulation, and the development of technical and ethical standards within the field.
The OMIGEC website, recently updated and enhanced, is now available in both Arabic and French, making it easier to access relevant information for members and the public. It includes the regulatory texts related to the creation of the Order and the membership process. In addition to institutional information, the site highlights news and events related to civil engineering in Mauritania.
OMIGEC is committed to providing a platform for exchange and innovation for its members, with the aim of increasing the visibility of the profession and supporting the development of infrastructure in Mauritania.
