In 2025, besides marking the 70th anniversary of the Bandung Conference, we also commemorate the centenaries of Frantz Fanon, Malcolm X, and Patrice Lumumba. The Paris programme includes tributes to these historical figures.
Programme:
- 09:00-09:15 – Welcoming words
- 09:15-09:30 – Introduction: Bandung 70 years on
- 09:30-10:15 – Mini-roundtable: Centenary tributes to Frantz Fanon, Malcolm X, and Patrice Lumumba
- 10:30-12:30 – ROUNDTABLE 1: The Changing International Relations since Bandung
- 14:30-16:30 – ROUNDTABLE 2: The UN in Changing Geopolitical Contexts since Sukarno’s Speech at the UN General Assembly (1960)

📚 BOOK PRESENTATION AND SALE IN LE HAVRE
A stand for book presentation and sale will be available during the conference in Le Havre on March 6-7, 2025. Authors wishing to showcase or sell recent books in English, French, or other languages are invited to bring copies. A student exhibition team will manage the books. Interested participants should contact the conference secretariat.
🍽 LUNCH AND PARIS WALK
Restaurants, including Asian options, are available around the University Paris-Sorbonne. After the Paris sessions and before taking the evening train to Le Havre, participants may enjoy a walk between Paris-Sorbonne and Saint Lazare Railway Station.
🏞 ETRETAT TOUR – March 8, 2025
The Le Havre organising committee invites conference participants to a half-day organised tour to Étretat on the morning of Saturday, March 8, 2025 (free of charge). Étretat is a picturesque coastal town located 32 km from Le Havre.
🚆 TRANSPORT & ACCOMMODATION IN PARIS & LE HAVRE
For a convenient stay in Paris, participants are advised to book accommodation near Opera House and Saint Lazare Railway Station, as:
- The Roissybus airport shuttle stops behind the Opera House.
- Trains to Le Havre depart from Saint Lazare Railway Station.
- The Opera House and Saint Lazare Station are within 10 minutes walking distance, eliminating the need for taxis.

- Le Havre → Paris: Train from Le Havre Railway Station, March 8, 14:57 PM
(Train tickets can be booked online through the French Railway Company.)
📝 PARTICIPATION REGISTRATION
All sessions are open to the public with prior registration.
All participants (including chairs, speakers, presenters) must register before February 23, 2025, to gain access to the conference.
